Cultivating Compassion

October 25, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm EDT

In times of uncertainty and divisiveness, it is not uncommon for people to lock down into familiar positions, attitudes and beliefs in an attempt to feel right and in control. The problem with this tactic of self-protection is that when we wrap our point of view around us like a security blanket, it cuts us off from our hearts and human interconnectedness.

Sri Amritanadamayi says that compassion is the foundation of peace. Compassion for others arises within us when we are willing to let go of our inner shields and to feel someone else’s experience without overlaying our own judgments upon it. Compassion for ourselves arises when we are willing to feel what we are feeling without judgment. Compassion is a willingness to feel. Without that, peace whether inner or in the outer world, cannot be attained.

This healing will help dissolve the blocks we’ve erected towards feeling compassion for ourselves and for others.

There will be a Zoom option to be guided during the healing, or you can simply rest and receive from the comfort of wherever you are.
